What is the most appropriate place to live? I think that question has several answers; it’s not easy to make a decision. Before we decide we have to keep in mind some aspects, because both places provide positive aspects.
While we have quick access to different locations in the city, on the other hand we have a sense of tranquility and harmony in the country. Everything is different; people living in the city are more stressed than those living in the countryside. But we cannot say that there is only quality of life in the country, because this has to be thoroughly studied.
First quality of life may have different interpretations, for some people that quality is defined as having easy access to things, having everything close to home is essential, for example many areas of recreation, where the choice is very varied, more variety in education, more jobs and many choices in terms of health and quality of life. Furthermore there are people that identify quality of life as being in the company of nature, the conviviality of the family, the breath of fresh air, the silence of the day to day. I agree, this is quality of life. But however it is always difficult to choose between town and country.
There are always advantages and disadvantages, both in the country or in the city. In the city there is a higher degree of pollution than in the field, the stress of people is also higher in the city. Because people have a very busy life, some people have two jobs to bear the costs, all because the dwellings in cities are more expensive. What sometimes causes family members to move further apart, they arrive home tired and do not have the time to share with the family. Nevertheless in the city there are more work posts, more health institutions, the choices in recreation are diverse and resources are greater.
I personally prefer to live in the countryside; I am included in the group that values nature, the silence of everyday life, breathing clean air, living together with our family, for me this is quality of life. But that does not mean that for whatever reason, I cannot change my mind. Because my needs may interfere in my definition of quality of life, then why continue to say that it is difficult to choose between the city and countryside. The appropriate place is the one that meets our needs. What are our needs?
